The Urantia Atacama Mission—"Seeding
the Desert"—has been in the process for over a year, starting at the
end of 2010 and continuing through 2011. Involved are six dedicated
Urantia Book readers: Myself, Pradhana Fuchs, Pablo Segovia,
Kenya Bailey, Horacio Gamboa and Maria Jose Garcia. Says Jon, "We
have now covered Chile from Vina del Mar to La Serena and Valle del
Elqui [see map]. This area is the Southern edge of the Atacama Desert where
there are most of the libraries and people.

We are
finding tremendous interest in he Revelation as we place the
books. Kenya and I had hours and hours of conversation with
truth seekers on our last mission. The funds are very
limited but we sleep many nights in a tent and eat from
farmers markets. This frugal nature adds to the joy of the
missions and we are very thankful for all of the support.
We are planning our next
step into the heart of the desert that is Antofagasta, San
Pedro de Atacama and numerous small villages. The distances
between towns is much greater and we have over 50 more "El
Libro de Urantia" books to place. With our limited funds (we
had a total of $1140 for all of the Atacama missions) we are
being creative as we can in getting the books into the
desert. Two more dedicated Chilean Urantia book readers are
now part of our UNO team Horacio Gamboa and Maria Jose
Garcia. They are planning to go to Antofagasta for work and
we plan for send 20 or more books with them to place along
the way.
