DIARY:
“We are now at Schiphol airport. Cor drove us here early and our
flight has been delayed, from 11:40 to 2 p.m. I am sitting at a table
watching the parade of travelers and Joy has gone off somewhere to read
her Urantia Book.
SASKIA:
Looking back more than five years later, it was a wonderful trip. The
best part, aside from our camel ride alongside the pyramids and our
magical time at the Sea of Galilee, was getting to know Joy better.
Having a Urantia Book buddy to see Israel and other Mediterranean lands
with, at our own pace, was one of the highlights of my life.
We had our moments of disharmony, but nothing we haven’t been able to
laugh about since. Sharing an experience like this seals a friendship,
and that is one thing we will take with us throughout eternity.
JOY:
This month-long excursion to Amsterdam, Greece, Egypt and the Holy Lands
with Saskia has been one of the highlights of my life!
I will never forget it, and will always be grateful to Saskia for
inviting me on such an adventure. She is an experienced traveler,
generous, easy-going, and lots of fun to travel with,
although she sets a pretty mean pace. Being in the land where Jesus
lived and taught was incredible! One feels so close to him and to
God in these places. It was a wonderful spiritual experience as
well as a fascinating vacation.
